Abstract：

　　The present snow avalanche maps in Japan provided limited information about potential snow avalanche runout and injury risk. It caused the mountain travelers could only determine safe travel route by their experience. This study combined runout simulation and injury risk assessment to improve the present snow avalanche map in backcountry regions in Japan.
