This guideline has been proposed based on the National Central University Rules Governing the Master’s and Doctoral Degree Qualifying Exam and Thesis Defense. |

Master students are required to complete the degree from one to four years and the limit credit for graduating is 24 credits. |

Regulations of courses: |
| |
|
Ⅰ. |
Select one from these two obligatory courses: “Land Hydrological Processes” or “Atmosphere and Oceanic Process”. |

|
Ⅱ. |
Select one from these three obligatory courses: “Fluid Dynamics”, “Aguatic Chemistry” or “Nearshore Oceanography and Hydrodynamics”. |

|
Ⅲ. |
Select one from these three obligatory courses: “Applied Mathematics Methods”, “Applied Numerical Methods” or “Data Analysis”. |

|
Ⅳ. |
“Journal Study” and “Seminar” are required coursed for four semesters. These two courses are required in each semester when student is graduating within four semesters. |

Ⅴ. |
The permission is required from adviser or tutor for taking other elective courses from above obligatory courses. |

Thesis Guide: |

Ⅰ. |
New students are fully counseled by tutor until the adviser is decided. |
| |
|
Ⅱ. |
Master students should return the “Advisor Confirmation” and confirm adviser at the first month after the first semester. |
| |
|
Ⅲ. |
Joint appointment and adjunct faculties guide one student at most each year, and they has to co-advisor with faculties in this institute. |

|
Courses credit waiver will be processed based on the National Central University Course Credit waiver Guidelines. |

|
The degree exam will be processed based on the National Central University Rules Governing the Master’s and Doctoral Degree Qualifying Exam and Thesis Defense. |

|
In case this regulation does not involve, procedures follows the related regulations of Ministry of Educations and National Central University. |

This regulation is proved at the institutional conference, and approved at the Academic Affairs Committee Meeting, as well as correction. |
